Baltimore County Public Schools

Good Hope Tutoring Services (GHTS) is a BCPS-approved vendor and trusted educational partner, providing academic tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment services to students across Baltimore County.

About the Partnership

GHTS began working with Baltimore County Public Schools in 2022, delivering high-quality, student-centered programs that support academic achievement, social-emotional development, and educational equity. Our work with BCPS serves elementary, middle, and high school students (Grades K–12) and includes services delivered in person, virtually, and through hybrid models to meet the diverse needs of schools and families.

Through this partnership, GHTS collaborates with schools, administrators, and families to design programs that are responsive, compliant, and aligned to district priorities, while remaining flexible enough to meet students where they are.

  • Standards-aligned instruction connected to Next Generation Science Standards and grade-level learning progressions
  • Real-world, project-based learning experiences that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Instructional Design & Implementation

GHTS programs are built using a comprehensive and customized approach. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, we work with schools to:

  • Identify program goals and student needs
  • Align instruction to state standards, SEL frameworks, and district expectations
  • Select and train qualified instructional staff who meet BCPS requirements
  • Implement programs with strong onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Measure impact through observations, assessments, and stakeholder feedback

Student-Centered, Equity-Driven Philosophy

GHTS operates from a whole-student framework, recognizing that academic success is deeply connected to students' social, emotional, and environmental experiences. In partnership with BCPS and participating schools, we work to reduce learning barriers related to:

  • Economic hardship
  • Housing instability
  • Learning differences and disabilities
  • Access, safety, and community-based challenges
